Vanessa Lee Dance Academy
The team at Vanessa Lee Dance Academy came to iQmultimedia with a vision of establishing a new brand for their company that would set them apart from their competition as well as grow with them into the future.
Logo Design
The brief was to create an identity that was fun and modern and that could be used across the dance academy’s range of marketing collateral. The previous Vanessa Lee Dance Academy logo used a silhouette of a ballet dancer which gave the wrong impression that VLDA was a formal and exclusive school and pigeonholed them into one specific dance style. iQm created a fresh and vibrant revised identity that incorporates elements of VLDA’s former identity with improvement to the visual language throughout (including a less discipline-specific dancer silhouette that better represents the wide variety of dance styles the academy teaches).
The new identity resolves the issues with balance and professionalism the old logo carried, and provides a more effective typographic language for other printed materials (reducing the cacophony of fonts to a more appropriate two-tier visual hierarchy). As with all our logos, a full logo kit was produced to demonstrate the logo across a variety of mediums and colour depths.
