New iQmultimedia website goes live!
Well it took us a while (to say the least), but after over six months of development, the new iQmultimedia.com.au is finally live.
We hope you can find your way around the site easily on your own, but if you’re looking for some of the more interesting parts to check out, you’d best check out the Featured Works section, plus you might like to have a look at who we are and what we do.
Existing iQ customers will notice the new entry-point for iQconnect at the top of the page (click the “Client Login” button for your daily fill of gratuitous animation).
To give you all a glimpse at the process required to build a website like this, here’s a rundown of the things we had to implement to get it working:
- A repeating cork background (with a subtle lighting effect applied)
- No less than 15 separate background layers (from the transparent zig-zag effect across the top and bottom of the page to the torn-page edge effect, to notepads, to highlight tabs to the logo page and its pin
- Custom images for over 40 jobs (and more than 20 clients)
- Waffly content for each of the above
- All manner of nifty animations and effects (try the “Client Login” button, the “This Way Up” buttons, the “Contact Us” link and the sections on the “What We Do” page, not to mention the “Location Map” button at the bottom of the page)
- Hours and hours and hours and hours of work
After all that, though, we’ve put together something that we feel represents our strengths as a company; strict standards-based frontend development, easy-to-use navigation and a steadfast refusal to limit a good design based on difficulty of implementation!
